Task 1

You have been given the job of designing a website for a new UK band.  You need to decide on the name for your band and the website will give their fans lots of interesting facts about them, include photos, gig dates and lots of other band-related information.  The band’s fans are 11-15 years of age, so you will need to ensure that you make the website appealing for them.

For examples of websites created by last year’s year 8s, have a look in Media:\Video\Pupils (Full Access)\ICT\Year 8 – right click on a file, choose open with and then select internet explorer.  You will need your headphones.

To help you think about the design, structure and features of your website, please complete the printed worksheet called good and bad website design.

Task 3

Setting up your website in MS FrontPage – after the demonstration you can set up the basics of your website.

Task 4

When you have completed the basics of your website you can begin to think about your band.
