The following elements need to appear on your FINAL POSTER.

  • Developed image
  • Developed text
  • Name of VENUE

Paste this “SENT” email into your word document.  DO NOT REDUCE ITS SIZE because I need to read all of the elements!  Below the screenshot, comment on the purpose and content of the email. 

When you receive an email from a classmate please make at least one sensible suggestion to improve their work and try to reply promptly.  e.g. Use photoshot to enhance your venue logo.  OR Try to reword your blurb about your event to make it sound move interesting. 

When you receive your reply(ies), take a screenshot and paste it into your word document.  Again comment on the content of the reply(ies).  You on can comment on wether or not you plan to use the suggestion!

MYFI- Your evidence document requires a complex search.  Look at the document Searching for internet information for my leaflet.  This can be found in the shared area in the folder Documents for 11S3 and 11D1.  Here is the path  S:\Pupils\Senior Pupils\ICT\Key Skills\Key Skills Level 2\Documents for 11S3 and 11D1. 

GRACE - You have mistakes in your retail outlet spreadsheet.  Look at the document Cost of a formal outfit for a teenager.  This can be found in the shared area in the folder Documents for 11S3 and 11D1.  Here is the path  S:\Pupils\Senior Pupils\ICT\Key Skills\Key Skills Level 2\Documents for 11S3 and 11D1.  Remember you need to print a version that shows the numbers and a version that shows the formulae.  The formulae version should show gridlines and row and column headings.  I will give you a quick demo of the formulae at the beginning of the lesson. 

EMILY D, EMILY F, FRANCES, GRACE, SINEAD, MYFI and JO- either I cannot find or you have mistakes in your retail outlet leaflet. Look at the document Retail outlet booklet.   This can be found in the shared area in the folder Documents for 11S3 and 11D1.  Here is the path  S:\Pupils\Senior Pupils\ICT\Key Skills\Key Skills Level 2\Documents for 11S3 and 11D1.  When you are working with publisher please work within the blue guidelines to avoid problems with the printers in KC2.

  • Take a copy of Applied ICT – The Study Guide. 
  • Read pages 1 to 16.
  • Open Word.  Type in the title WORD PROCESSING, DTP and PRESENTATION SOFTWARE.  Save this document into your KEY SKILLS LEVEL 2 folder.  Add your NAME to the header and PAGE NUMBERS to the footer. 
  • Answer questions 1 to 29 on page 17, in FULL SENTENCES. 
  • Print your answers to the KC2MONO printer. 
  • Put your printout into your paper work folder.

  • Take a copy of  Applied ICT – The Study Guide. 
  • Read pages 18 to 25. 
  • Open WORD.  Type in the title – SPREADSHEETS and DATABASES.  Save this  document into your KEY SKILLS LEVEL 2 folder.  Add your NAME to the header and PAGES NUMBERS to the footer. 
  • Answer questions 1 to 29 on page 26, in FULL SENTENCES. 
  • Print your answers to the KC2MONO printer. 
  • Put your printout into your work folder.
