How to set up a Blog
There are lots of free blogging services out there but we are going to use a wordpress blog. Follow the steps below to set up your blog;
- Go to wordpress.com
- Click on “Get a wordpress blog now”
- Your username should be your school login ID and use your school email address. Make sure you carefully check your email address before clicking next (if it’s wrong you wont get much further!)
- Your blog address will be be yourusername.wordpress.com
- You can choose a title for your blog – protect your privacy and avoid using your full name. You can change this title later if you want to.
- Once you sign up, you will receive an email with an activation link – you need to follow this link in order to begin writing.
- Write your first post! You might want to write a short post about what you hope to use your blog for.
