How to create an online survey using surveymonkey.com

Creating your survey 

  1. Go to surveymonkey.com

  2. You will need to sign up so click on Signup Now

  3. Use your school email address

  4. Choose a password, use the same one as your school password to make life easier

  5. Click on the new survey button at the top, select from scratch and click next

  6. Edit the title of your survey, call it “Sam’s Survey” for example

  7. Edit the page title, call it “Page 1″

  8. Now click add question at the bottom

  9. To see examples of the various question types available, click on the type of question link

  10. Add the questions that you need to ask (maximum of 10)

 Sharing your survey

  1. Click on MY SURVEYS 

  2. The first thing you need to do is OPEN your survey, you do this by clicking on the box on the left hand side.

  3. Then you need to click on the COLLECT icon

  4. Click on CREATE LINK FOR AN EMAIL MESSAGE

  5. This displays a web address – highlight and copy this address, then click on DONE

  6. Now open your emails

  7. Create a new email and click on the TO button.  One by one, add the address of each person who you want to complete your survey

  8. When you have finished click on OK, paste in the link to your survey and press send

Analysing your survey

  1. Go to My Surveys and click on the analyse button next to the name of the survey you want to analyse
