Level 3 Exam Checklist
Can you do the following?
Word Processing (Word)
- import and/or open comma delimted text files
- perform a mail merge
- use find and replace
- use bullets and numbering
- use tabs – left, right, centre and decimal
- work with tables – add, remove and size rows and columns, set borders, split and merge
- work with columns – column width, spacing and separator lines.
Database (Access)
- Create and save a new database
- Create tables by importing data
- Create fields and define data types
- Set field properties – type, size, format, data validation, primary key
- Create queries using criteria on one or more fields
- Use wildcards – * and ?
- Use relational operators <, >, =, <>, <=, >=, between
- Use Logical operators AND, OR, NOT, NULL, NOT NULL
- Produce reports – including sorting and grouping
- Format reports – titles, spacing, headers, footers
Spreadsheet (Excel)
- import comma delimited text files
- filter information
- use the following functions – sum, average, min, max, if, lookup
- use relational operators <, >, =, <>, <=, >= in formulas
- use and/or in =if formulas
- use absolute cell references – =C6-$B$2
- create charts
- hide columns or rows
- show formulas
- set print areas
- print out row and column headings and grid lines
