Please work through the Mar 12 paper. As you complete each section you can watch the relevant video below to see how you have got on.

Print out your work as required and make sure your name is on every printout.

Once you have watched the videos I would like you to try Task 2 (spreadsheet section) again to see if you can get full marks.  Concentrate especially on getting the =if formula, the printouts and the chart correct.

Starter: Open the file called ChocolateL2 Lookup exercise which can be found in: S:\Pupils\Senior Pupils\ICT & Computing\KS4\Functional Skills Level 2\Past Papers\20126 Jun 12

Can you filter the list of ingredients to show the following?

1. Only the ingredients that are needed for the Strawberry Brazil and have a price of 10p or more
2. Only the ingredients that are needed for the Coffee Nut and contain nuts
3. Only the ingredients that are pastes or chocolates

Next, use a formula to enter the correct telephone number in column H for each supplier.

Past Papers – Question 5

Question 5 in exam will often test some of your ICT theory knowledge.

Please could you open the following file which contains 22 separate questions from Question 5.  I would like you to choose 10 different questions to have a go at – pick ones that you are unsure about and don’t do 10 questions about viruses!

Once you have had a go at answering the questions check your answers using the Mark Schemes on the network and correct your work as necessary.

Task 1 – Using Email in the Exam

You cannot access the internet to use Outlook email in the exam.  You will need to use a different email program which we will look at briefly today.

Please can you attempt the spreadsheet section (section B) of the June 12 past paper.  I would like you to print when asked to – make sure you check print preview!

After you have been given your past paper back I would like you to watch this video on how to get full marks on the spreadsheet section.

Self study

Today I would like you to pick another spreadsheet section from a past paper.  If you need to work on =IF then pick a paper that will test this.

Your job today is to complete the paper of your choice (spreadsheet section only), produce the correct print outs and mark it.  Make sure you have your name on everything you print!  If you want to work together on the same paper with the people around you that is fine.

Starter: Open the file called Spreadsheet Revision which can be found in: S:\Pupils\Senior Pupils\ICT\Other\Software\Spreadsheets and have a go at the IF tab.

Mock Exam – Past Paper

I would like you to complete as much of the June 2013 Functional Skills ICT Level 2 paper as you can in this lesson.

You need to work under exam conditions (in silence) and all of the files you require can be found in: S:\Pupils\Senior Pupils\ICT\KS4\Functional Skills Level 2\Past Papers\20136 Jun 13\Data Files Jun 13

Aim to complete at least Section A and Section B.

Printouts

For Section B you only need 3 printouts in total – 1 completed formulae printout, 1 completed data printout and 1 chart printout.

You can collect your printouts from the printer and staple them together at the end of the lesson.

I am expecting you to hand in at least ResponsesJun13L2 and 3 Section B printouts.  Make sure your name is on everything!
